Dear Ms. Tyra,
As graduation approaches, I just wanted to take a moment to genuinely thank you for everything you’ve poured into me throughout Intro to Nursing, Advanced Med-Surg, and Capstone.
Your teaching style always stood out to me because you were funny, supportive, and straightforward all at the same time. You never sugarcoated things, but you always pushed us in a way that made us better. One of the biggest lessons I’ll carry with me from you is understanding that nobody is going to hold your hand — if you really want something, you have to go get it. That mindset honestly changed the way I approached nursing school and even how I view myself professionally.
You helped me strengthen my critical thinking skills and prepared me for the real-world side of nursing, not just passing exams. I truly feel more prepared stepping into this next chapter because of instructors like you.
I’ll also always remember moments like pickleball and Two Claws restaurant because they reminded me that nursing school could still have laughter and personality mixed into all the stress and hard work.
Thank you for pushing me, teaching me, encouraging me, and helping shape me into the nurse I’m becoming. I genuinely appreciate the time, energy, and honesty you gave throughout this journey.
Wishing you all the best, and thank you again for everything. See you at pinning ♥️
Sincerely,
Shania Wyatt
Gooooood afternoon Ms Tyra,
I pray all is well with you. First, I want to thank you for your HUGE CONTRIBUTION to the man and new nurse that I am. You were absolutely necessary in helping to prepare me to take on nursing with no fear… I think I’m ready for the world lol and I cannot thank you enough. Iv also started the process and enrolled in Deltech doing prereqs. I’m excited. With that being said, it’s been on my heart to help the upcoming nurses behind me. I have an idea, but it’ll require help from the staff. I want to gather money to give to a student or two so that they are able to pay for the ending of school. Pearson vue, the board ect.. to help alleviate some of the costs and possibly cut down on the time ppl waste not taking the test.. I know for me I had to work some hours to get it. So, if there is a way, I would need your help legitimizing some kind of “scholarship” … me and whoever is willing will provide the money, but we would need a process by which we select the recipient(s). Maybe an essay, maybe you guys can pick based on story, based on gpa or a combination of it all…. Let me know your thoughts. Please let the staff know I said hello, and I appreciate them all sincerely. #NoNurseLeftBehind

I really liked the novel it was peaceful and interesting. I learned that the main character David in David’s Blueprint struggled to have safety and happiness in his home with his mother and siblings while he carried a special gift from within him. I could relate to this, and I also found enjoyment in this because I was called a special person as a child by people and I also had struggles in my home feeling like I wasn’t safe or happy. But that wasn’t the end of the novel, David was taken from that house and when he grew up, he turned his life around and started using that special gift inside of him and started his own business. It reminded me to strive for success and never be a sore loser because i came from a bad place too, but I survived. This book was great!

Dear Ms. Tyra,
Thank you so much for taking the time to send such a thoughtful and detailed response. Your words of encouragement truly mean a lot to me, especially as I get ready for this next chapter.
I have to admit, I’ve been feeling a little behind lately, especially seeing people my age who already have their master’s degrees, families, or are buying homes. Reading about your journey and hearing your reminder that there’s no “perfect timeline” was exactly what I needed. It really helped put things into perspective.
I also appreciate you being so honest about your own challenges. Your advice about researching programs, making sure they’re accredited, and treating every clinical like a job interview is something I’ll definitely carry with me. I’ll also remember how important it is to build a good reputation and network along the way.
Thank you again for all the support you’ve given me throughout the nursing program and for continuing to encourage me even now. It truly means a lot. I’ll definitely keep you updated on where I end up and where this journey takes me!
Best regards,
Alaya McClary
Hello Ms. Tyra,
I wanted to thank you for your teaching, your support, your words of encouragement, your patience and all the extra assignments that help us straighten our paths to our dreams and that help us with self-care.
I like the way you teach, and I wish I could have you as my instructor for Med school, I plan to go for it after my BSN. The way you make your notes is bringing the students to reality and you go very low for your students to understand the materials.
You are one of the best instructors I know. May God continue to bless you and give you more for the future generations.
Thank you again!

Hi Ms. Tyra,
Thank you for your kind words. They truly mean a lot to me. Looking back at where I started, I can honestly say that my confidence has grown tremendously throughout nursing school. I have learned so much from you, not only about nursing content but also about believing in myself and trusting the process. You are a wonderful and amazing instructor, and I admire you greatly. I never been very comfortable in front of the camera, but for you, I will most definitely create a video feedback review of your NCLEX study guide. Your guide has been a valuable resource, and I would be happy to share my experience and how it has helped me approach NCLEX style questions with more confidence. I will have the video completed for you by the end of the week. Thank you again for all your support, encouragement, and dedication throughout this journey. I truly appreciate all you done. I also enjoyed you coming out with us yesterday and I look forward to seeing you at pinning.
Forever Grateful,
Ginger
Dear Miss Tyra,
I want to sincerely thank you for writing "Read This So You Don't Have to Take NCLEX a Second Time" This book has greatly helped me improve my test taking strategies and confidence.
I must admit that, when I first read the book, I rushed through it. However, after your email reminding me to read, I went back and took my time to understand the material. I now visit the book regularly whenever I have quizzes, tests, or exams, and it has continued to be an incredible resource for me.
The content is clear, engaging and easy to understand, especially when breaking down difficult concepts and test taking strategies.
As a final term nursing student preparing for NCLEX, I found this resource motivating, practical and encouraging. It has made a positive impact on my studying, and reduced my anxiety during quizzes and exams.
I will continue to recommend this book to other nursing students.
Please continue sharing and recommending this book with future nurses because its an excellent tool for NCEX preparation.
I've recommended to several students and most of them were previously not aware of this book.
Thank you once again for creating such a valuable resource and for supporting future nurses through your work.
Sincerely,
Evelyn Omangi
